“As important as training is to get FITTER, FASTER and STRONGER, it is just as important that you get the right amount of recovery in between. With just pushing your body to the limit you don’t win races. Your body is only allowed to adapt to the stress associated with exercise if it also gets the time and the right nutrition to do this. The harder you push, the more rest you need.”

Looking back at plenty years of constantly racing at the highest levels Nino knows the right balance between training and recovery.
“Two recovery practices are fundamental and must not be missed in the right amount: nutrition and sleep! While there are many more accessory recovery techniques that can be used to complement nutrition and sleep, if you are not getting in the right nutrition and enough sleep, the accessory recovery techniques will have minimal advantage.” – Nino Schurter
