With a record-matching 10 XCO Elite World Champion titles, Olympic Champion, European Champion, 8 World Cup Champion titles, and now his 34th XCO Elite World Cup victory, N1NO has staked the claim as one of sport’s Greatest of All Time.
It all started in 2010 when a young athlete named Nino Schurter managed to win his first World Cup in Dalby Forest, Yorkshire. An epic sprint against the greatest mountain biker of his time Julien Absalon sealed the victory and the dawn of a new World Cup era. 13 years and 34 World Cup wins later, one thing is for sure, N1NO is not slowing down and is as hungry as ever before.
Over the years we have seen it all: Who doesn’t remember the first win in Nove Mesto, No.5, in 2012 against local hero Jaroslav Kulhavý or the unforgettable endless sprint to the finish against Anton Cooper after a close fight during the full race in 2018, No.28.
And then there’s Lenzerheide; training ground, a crowd of fans, family and friends – home. The Lenzerheide XCO circuit where he claimed the 34th win will always hold a special significance for Nino Schurter as before he had won World Cups No. 20 (2016) and No. 24 (2017) as well as the World Championships in 2018, with an incredible career in between. The Design
A testament to all his 34 World Cup victories was the goal in the Noble Silver iced optics and orange accents. The Spark RC frame therefore featured all his past World Cup victories with the dates spread across the frame from seat stay to top tube in chronological order. Furthermore the distances of the individual elements reflects the time between the individual victories, conveying a sense of the time span and drawing you into their spell.
