Lars Forster is no doubt one of the most talented off- road racers of the younger generation of mountain bike athletes. At only 27 he has already managed to gather impressive palmares to his name. European Champion 2018, Cape Epic Champion 2019, Swiss Epic Champion 2020, and 3-times Swiss Cyclo-Cross Champion – Just to name the titles of the recent years.
Among the many victories, the World Cup win at last year’s final round in Snow Shoe, USA stands out the most. Here he showed what he is capable of, a first taste of what to expect in the future.

Besides his obvious talent on mountain bikes, Lars Forster loves to race cyclo-cross whenever possible. The 2020 mountain bike season is still in full swing with the big races yet to come, but the opportunity to switch to CX for the first race of the season was something Lars did not want to let go of. At the EKZ Cross Tour in Baden, Switzerland, he showed his skills on the narrow wheels winning in style.

On a wave of success Lars Forster’s statement about his future sounds promising:
“I’m super excited to continue my career with the worlds best cross-country team. There is still much to learn on my way to the very top but I already had the chance to see what it takes to win. Having the chance to learn from N1NO, experiencing the great team spirit and the powerful support by our staff and partners really makes me feel like I am in good hands. I now have all the ingredients to continue my journey to the next level.”

Big expectations are also placed in another talent emerging out of the Swiss powerhouse, Andri Frischknecht. A team member for 10 years and just about ready for his break through. A few top tens in the World Cup and especially a top ten finish in last years World Championship are the sparks that show his potential. Progress eminently visible as making consistent steps every year in order to establish himself as a top ten racer. There is still a lot to learn, though with a mentor like Nino Schurter and his willpower of hard work consistent top 10 placements are in reach.

“Time flies! We are going into our 20th year of existence with the team. It’s been a hell of a success story. Looking at the quality squad we have at the start line for the coming years, I’m more than optimistic we can keep the high level. Even more, going for #nextlevel as our team credo says. Nino has taken over great leadership. The younger generation with Kate, Lars and Andri soak up his mentor-ship and develop it to become the new stars of the scene.”
