Glentress Forest, Scotland. There are only a few days left until the 2023 Mountain Bike World Championships, one of the absolute highlights in the mountain bike race season calendar. This year, the Championships take place in Scotland, where the biggest names in the sport will gather in the fight for medals, glory and honor.
We all remember the 2022 World Championships in Les Gets, when Nino Schurter, with a great performance in an absolutely breathtaking final, won his 10th Elite World Champion title, also known as “La decima”. “La decima” is in the world of sports something incredible and outstanding. Valentino Rossi achieved 9 World Champion titles, Anne Caroline Chausson won 9 DH World Champion titles and after winning 9 Champions League titles, it took Real Madrid 12 years to win the 10th. This 10th World Champion title definitely made N1NO immortal.
A year has passed and much has happened since then, including winning his record-breaking 34th World Cup victory in front of a crowd of family and friends on home soil in Lenzerheide. All this, only to set a new record shortly thereafter with his 35th Elite World Cup victory in Val di Sole. Race after race, the 2023 season has been a showcase of Nino’s excellent condition and his ultimate will to stand on top. One thing is for sure: N1NO is arriving in Scotland as hungry as ever to defend his title at this special highlight of the year.
N1NO Schurter goes to the start line with a very special bike design inspired by the recent concept edition of the iconic SCOTT Endorphin. The Endorphin, a groundbreaking mountainbike when introduced almost 30 years ago, has gone on to inspire generations of bikes, including the most successful XCO bike of all-time, the Spark RC. This special edition, to be ridden by N1NO, is an homage to the influence the iconic Endorphin had on the world of mountain biking.
