History

The SCOTT-SRAM Team, founded in 2002 under the name Swisspower, has a long-standing success story that is unrivalled in mountain biking. Four Olympic medals, 18 world championship titles, 38 national titles and 52 World Cup victories speak for themselves. In addition to developing talented athletes, the SCOTT-SRAM Team has repeatedly made a name for itself with new innovations. Together with innovative partners such as SCOTT, SRAM, RockShox, Syncros or Maxxis, new standards have been developed in the mountain biking industry. The GOAT Nino Schurter has shaped his entire 24-year career with SCOTT-SRAM. In addition to Schurter, who continues to wear the SCOTT-SRAM colours as an ambassador, the team includes Swiss riders Fabio Püntener, Filippo Colombo and Andri Frischknecht. Bjorn Riley (USA) and Emilly Johnston (CAN) are further young talents representing the next promising generation.

While Olympic and World Champion Nino Schurter takes the role of a leader, Team Manager Thomas Frischknecht runs the most successful Cross-Country team on the World Cup circuit with a lot of experience. Completing the 2025 roster, the 2024 Swiss champion Filippo Colombo will compete alongside new team members such as the 2024 US National Champion Bjorn Riley and Emilly Johnston, with Andri Frischknecht (member of the team since over 10 years), rounding out the most successful team in XC MTB racing.

Innovation

SCOTT-SRAM works with its riders and an experienced team of specialists closely with renowned partners from the bicycle industry. The team’s ideas flow directly into the product development of SCOTT, SRAM, ROCKSHOX, SYNCROS and MAXXIS. SCOTT-SRAM set some new standards with some of their developments. “Frischi” won the first ever Mountain bike Marathon World Championships in Lugano / Switzerland in 2003 – at the time on a revolutionary new bike with an entirely new concept of a shock that was adjustable into three different modes (lock-out mode, all-travel mode, and traction mode- today known as TwinLoc), the SCOTT Genius. The use of “collès” in the sport of mountain biking or the 27.5“ wheel size, which has become a standard in the mountain bike industry, just being one of them.
